Memory Match

Last week at school my second graders were having a hard time with homophones. They had played a lot of matching games that involved finding the two words that sound the same but still couldn’t use the words correctly. I recently found out that educators get a Canva membership for free so I whipped up this memory game to practice. I set up the cards and was SHOCKED. Most of the kiddos didn’t know how to play memory! It was fun to see them help each other remember where certain answers were too! I liked this game because they had to use context clues and got to practice their fluency. II didn’t laminate it yet, printed it on my astrobrights cardstock so it will hold up.
