MY STORY

I became a teacher before I became a mom.  What I didn’t realize once I had kids was that I would see education from a different perspective.  Now that I have to come home, unpack backpacks, go through papers and assignments,  and get dinner ready I realize how challenging it is to help kids navigate school and homework.   The education system has become extremely rigorous and is pushing testing more than ever.  Even as a teacher, I have found it challenging to get my son excited about learning to read.  My hope is to share some of the games, and ideas I’ve used with him as well as my students to help the after school hours more enjoyable for everyone.
